HabitSwap — Designing the Environment, Not the Willpower

A two-round micro-simulation that swaps willpower-based habit change for environment design. Round 1 maps the cue chain of a target behaviour; Round 2 commits to three concrete, willpower-free environment changes. Learners build a Stick-Rate score grounded in friction theory and behavioural science.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 2 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.

Decisions participants make

The decisions participants make during the simulation:

  • Pick the habit you want to change
  • When does it usually happen?
  • What immediately precedes it?
  • What reward does it deliver?
  • Is this habit a way to medicate something deeper?
  • Change 1
  • Change 2
  • Change 3
  • Replacement behaviour with a similar reward

What participants track
