About this simulation
Conduccion racional y segura (Eco & Safe Driving). Spanish vocational training (FP), grado medio: module 1205 Conduccion racional y segura of the Tecnico en Conduccion de Vehiculos de Transporte por Carretera (Real Decreto 555/2012).
Nerea Aldabe, 22, a driver at the fictional haulier Transportes Ubarrena S.L., takes a loaded articulated truck over a mountain pass, down a long wet descent and through a two-way tunnel.
Four rounds, each an action and a check, technique or alert choice: the pre-trip check and the route profile; gears, the green rev band and anticipation; the descent with retarder and engine brake and what to do with hot brakes; smoke in the tunnel and the alarm. Scored on safety margin, delay per phase, avoidable cost (extra diesel, wear and damage) after what a good choice saves, and a brakes-and-tyres index.
Two hard-fails cap the round at 40: going down the pass in neutral and turning round inside the tunnel. Training level only; decision practice that complements supervised practical training. Spanish player-facing strings with English parity.
Who it is for
An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.
How a session runs
- The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
- Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results. The first round opens with: Miércoles 17 de febrero, 05:45, base de Valdeherce: antes de salir.
- The simulation can be run in English, Español.
- The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.
