About this simulation

A 90-minute, 4-round intermediate Express simulation for Spanish vocational training (Formacion Profesional, grado superior), module 0655 Gestion logistica y comercial of the Tecnico Superior en Administracion y Finanzas.

You are Alba Gormaz, the administration and finance technician of Cervecera Revinuesa S.L., a fictional 34-person brewery in Soria that bottles about 4.16 million 33 cl bottles a year, and you buy its glass for 24 months, from January 2027 to December 2028, from up to four suppliers: a national glassworks, a Portuguese glassworks, the usual distributor and an Asian importer.

Today everything comes from the distributor at 0.220 euros a bottle, with 99.64% service to the bottling line.

Round by round you decide two things: how to compare the offers (total cost of acquisition, price per bottle, the usual supplier or equal-weight points) and how to split the volume (two suppliers, one, three or the cheapest each month); the contract with the first supplier and the inspection at reception; how invoices are checked and paid and how suppliers are followed; and how to face a three-month capacity cut and a 10% rise at the main supplier, and which supplier base to take into 2028.

Each month the shares, prices, lead times and their variation, the defects and the stock are recomputed. Each round is scored on the net saving over 24 months, the service to the line and the rotation, with the average price a bottle, the net cost of defects, the cost of stockouts and the main supplier share shown but not scored.

Paying in cash without an invoice, or accepting a supplier trip in exchange for the contract, caps the score. Spanish with English.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results. The first round opens with: Lunes 11 de enero de 2027: comparar las ofertas y repartir el volumen.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.

Decisions participants make

The decisions participants make during the simulation:

  • Cómo comparas las cuatro ofertas
  • Cuánto volumen das a cada uno
  • El contrato con el primer proveedor
  • Las botellas al recibirlas
  • Cómo compruebas y pagas las facturas
  • Cómo sigues a los proveedores
  • Tres meses a medio gas y un 10 % más
  • La cartera de proveedores para 2028
