The learner is a 34-year-old senior financial-planning analyst at a Sevilla logistics company who, since her promotion, cannot focus and does not know why: the monthly forecast that took two days took five, she works about 50 hours a week, carries 14 open fronts and is interrupted all day, and the finance director wants a cost-to-serve analysis for the board in March.
Decision 1, Monday 11 January 2027: how she finds out why (more willpower, a one-week focus log, or a copied 5 a.m. routine), what she does with the open fronts (keep them in her head, a new task app, or one trusted list with a weekly review) and how she starts the task she avoids (wait for the moment, a small first step at a fixed time, or the easy tasks first).
Decision 2, late January: alerts (everything on, batched at three fixed times with a route for the urgent, or dark all day), where and when she does hard work (the open-plan desk, noise-cancelling headphones, or two booked 90-minute blocks a day) and the phone (on the desk, away during blocks, or a blocking app).
Decision 3, February: breaks (none, real breaks away from screens, or scrolling), sleep (about six hours, weekend catch-up, or a fixed window) and caffeine and the shortcut (four coffees, a supplement promising +40% concentration guaranteed, or two coffees before 14:00).
Decision 4, March: the team (disappear into blocks, agreed focus norms, or accept every meeting again), the bad week (give up, stack three tricks, or log again and change one thing) and the review (none, fifteen minutes on Friday, or a smartwatch and a twenty-metric dashboard).
A deterministic week-by-week model over 12 weeks turns these into four indices (focus, what she delivers, energy and standing), deep-focus hours a week, hours worked a week, euros out of pocket and open risk. The score combines the quality of each decision with those outcomes and is capped when she buys the supplement. Spanish (primary, Spain) and English.
