About this simulation

After 4-10 years away, returning home is harder than the original outbound move. Across four rounds — re-entry diagnosis, the four-track 90-day plan, the salary-and-narrative trap, and the W-curve trough plan — the learner designs a structured first 90 days that closes the unstructured time-to-offer gap (5.2 → 2.8 months) and pre-commits to navigation through reverse culture shock.

Who it is for

An advanced simulation for participants used to working with the main frameworks and trade-offs of the subject, designed for executive education and experienced professionals.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.

Decisions participants make

The decisions participants make during the simulation:

  • Hours per week researching the current home market (0-15)
  • Honest count: people you actually talked to back home in the last 6 months
  • Self-inventory frame
  • Network conversations target across 90 days
  • Target employers to research and approach
  • Hours rehearsing the recruiter pitch
  • Wellbeing infrastructure
  • Salary anchor strategy
  • Value-translation depth (1 = abroad facts; 10 = mapped to job priorities)
  • Hold-the-line strength under recruiter pushback (1-10)
