About this simulation

The learner writes a free weekly newsletter in Asturias and wrote well before she began drafting with an AI chatbot; now replies have fallen and a long-time reader asks whether she still writes it.

Decision 1, Monday 8 February 2027: where AI enters the essay (it drafts and she polishes, by stage with the idea and first draft hers, or nowhere), how she will judge whether it sounds like her (rereading, open rates, or replies and a monthly blind test) and what reference she gives it (none, a one-page style sheet of her own, or a paid write-like-me tool).

Decision 2: the order of ideas (the AI angles first, only her own, or her own ten first and then the AI to widen), what she does with an AI edit (accept what sounds better, use the generic version as a foil, or reject everything) and practice (none, twenty minutes a day by hand, or a paid course).

Decision 3: a short-story prize that forbids generative AI in the writing (skip it, write a new story herself, or enter an AI-drafted story and sign the declaration), the agenda half of the newsletter (unchecked AI, by hand, or AI with a check) and what readers are told (nothing, a label on everything, or a plain note on what AI does and does not do).

Decision 4: the cadence when a week is full (the chatbot writes the issue, a short issue of her own, or fortnightly), what she asks readers (nothing, a paid tier, or which issues they remember) and how she keeps checking (nothing, a monthly blind test, or an AI detector).

A deterministic model turns these into a voice index (how many readers pick her paragraph out of three in a blind test), hours a week against an eight-hour budget, replies, subscribers and issues missed or written by the AI. The score combines the quality of each decision with those outcomes and is capped when an AI-drafted story is entered as written without AI. Spanish (primary, Spain) and English.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.

Decisions participants make

The decisions participants make during the simulation:

  • Dónde entra la IA en el ensayo
  • Cómo sabrás si suena a ti
  • Qué referencia le das
  • En qué orden llegan las ideas
  • Qué haces con una corrección de la IA
  • Si practicas, y cómo
  • El relato del premio
  • La agenda
  • Qué les dices a tus lectores
  • El ritmo

What participants track

What participants follow on screen as the rounds go by:

  • Decisión 1 · El diagnóstico
  • Decisión 2 · El proceso
  • Decisión 3 · La prueba
  • Decisión 4 · El ritmo
