About this simulation

A 90-minute, 4-round procedural Express simulation for the Spanish vocational title Tecnico Superior en Integracion Social (module 0338, Insercion sociolaboral): job placement pathways for a mixed caseload in an employment-integration programme.

The learner is Amaya Corcuera Iturrioz (fictional), placement officer in the Programa Peldano of the Fundacion Abrojal in Valdecerezo, a fictional Spanish city, with a caseload of 40 people with very different employability, a budget of 160,000 euros and a grant that measures insertion.

Four people stand for the rest: Rocio, 41, two children and nine years of informal cleaning; Wilson, 27, a construction labourer with a new work permit; Iker, 19, without the ESO certificate; Mercedes, 56, after a factory closure.

In four moments you decide how you diagnose and segment the caseload; how you design the itineraries and what you do when Rocio stops coming; how you work the intermediation with a logistics company and what support follows the hiring; and what you do when Iker loses his job and the grant justification falls due.

The strong path: an employability diagnosis with each person, segmentation by distance to employment, itineraries agreed and fitted to each person rather than the most expensive resource for everyone, a call within 48 hours that finds the barrier, job matching with knowledge of the job, supported employment for three months, the lost job re-engaged and the indicators justified as they are, and an evaluation of what worked for whom.

Scored on itinerary fit, resources without return, the share of the caseload in work at twelve months, your time and energy, the peoples trust, your standing with employers and the network and practice risk; three shortcuts (health and social data shared without consent, a job with no contract counted as an insertion, a justification made up) come back and cap the score.

Fictional people, companies and places; real Spanish law cited at principle level; training level only. Spanish primary, English included.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results. The first round opens with: Lunes 18 de enero de 2027: el diagnóstico.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.

Decisions participants make

The decisions participants make during the simulation:

  • Cómo diagnosticas la cartera
  • Cómo la segmentas
  • Cómo diseñas los itinerarios
  • Qué haces con las faltas de Rocío
  • Cómo haces la intermediación
  • Qué apoyo sigue a la contratación
  • Qué haces con el empleo perdido de Iker y la justificación
  • Cómo cierras el año
