A 90-minute, 4-round basic Express simulation for Spanish vocational training (Formacion Profesional, grado superior), module 1515 Gestion de pacientes of the Tecnico Superior en Documentacion y Administracion Sanitarias (Real Decreto 768/2014).
The learner is Noelia Zaballos, the new patient-management technician of the admissions service of a fictional public district hospital of 260 beds, week by week through the flu peak of January 2028: bed assignment, discharges, transport for discharged patients, outliers, referrals to a concerted clinic and the surgical waiting-list register, outpatient agendas, elective surgery in the peak week and the way the bed status is shared.
The emergency-department jam is usually solved by the discharges on the wards. Scored on the wait for a bed in the emergency department, outliers, patients over the 180-day guarantee, operations cancelled for want of a bed, lost appointments and winter-plan spending against budget.
Two hard-fails cap the round at 40: taking patients off the waiting-list register without a documented reason (Real Decreto 605/2003, Annex II) and posting names and diagnoses in a messaging group (GDPR arts. 5.1.f, 9 and 32; Ley Organica 3/2018; Ley 41/2002 art. 7). Spanish primary, English parity.
