FirstPrinciples — What's Actually True Here?

A 3-round reasoning simulation that trains professionals to strip a stuck decision down to facts, separate inheritances and heuristics from what is actually true, rebuild the option space, and pressure-test the conclusion before committing.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 3 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.

Decisions participants make

The decisions participants make during the simulation:

  • One-sentence problem statement
  • Total assumptions you listed
  • Of those, how many are TRUE FACTS (logically or mathematically necessary)
  • How many are HEURISTICS (true most of the time)
  • How many are INHERITANCES (you believe them because someone respected said so)
  • How ruthlessly did you challenge each assumption?
  • Options you generated from the facts
  • Of those, how many actually satisfy the facts (math + reality check)
  • Did you write down what would have to be true for each option to work?
  • Where did your preferred answer land?
