About this simulation

The learner is a 46-year-old operations director of a Murcia food canner, one month on the management committee, whose CEO says she is hardly heard and should get a coach; she has never hired one.

Decision 1, Monday 1 February 2027: the goal (improve as a leader, two observable behavioural goals, or next week presentation), whether a coach is what she needs (a three-day course first, coaching for a change of behaviour in her own seat, or a mentor first) and who pays and chooses (herself in secret, HR assigning a panel coach, or a one-page plan to the CEO in which she chooses).

Decision 2, in March: whom she looks for (a friend coach, a shortlist of three with a credential, supervision and executive experience, or an uncredentialed high-performance coach selling a prepaid twelve-month package with a guaranteed promotion), how she chooses (one pleasant call, the one who agrees most, or chemistry sessions that test method, supervision, confidentiality and challenge) and the agreement (verbal and open-ended, written three-way with goals, measures, confidentiality, reviews and an exit, or session summaries sent to the CEO).

Decision 3, in June: what she does between sessions (talks, asks for answers, or runs one experiment per session at the committee), whom she asks for feedback (nobody, five stakeholders monthly, or a monthly thirty-person survey) and what she does after an uncomfortable session (changes coach, steers to safe topics, or takes it to a three-way mid-point review).

Decision 4, in October: how the coaching ends (monthly with no end, a planned close with a written plan, or stopping dead), how she evaluates it (by feeling, an inflated return-on-investment slide, or the same five stakeholders against the February baseline and the cost) and what she does in her own team.

A deterministic month-by-month model over 12 months turns these into four indices (her goals, how the committee sees her, her team and her career), what she pays in euros, what the company pays and open risk. The score combines the quality of each decision with those outcomes and is capped when she buys the guaranteed package. Spanish (primary, Spain) and English.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.
