About this simulation
A 90-minute, 4-round basic Express simulation for Spanish vocational training (Formacion Profesional, grado superior), module 0730 Recepcion y logistica en la clinica dental of the Tecnico Superior en Higiene Bucodental (Real Decreto 769/2014).
The learner is Ane Mendikute, a newly qualified dental hygienist who coordinates reception and logistics at a fictional four-gabinete private dental clinic, quarter by quarter through 2027: how the agenda is built, reminders and no-shows, receiving the patient, patients in pain, the purchasing route, the store, refilling empty slots and the cost per patient. A well-built agenda is worth more than an extra gabinete.
Scored on empty chair time, waiting time, stock-outs and cost per patient. Two hard-fails cap the round at 40: reading the health questionnaire aloud at the counter and leaving it in the tray (Ley 41/2002 art. 7.1; GDPR art. 9) and buying products without CE marking from unregistered sellers (Real Decreto 192/2023 arts. 5.3 and 24). Spanish primary, English parity.
Who it is for
An introductory simulation that assumes no prior knowledge of the subject, designed for undergraduate courses. It also works in vocational and high-school programmes and in onboarding sessions.
How a session runs
- The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
- Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results. The first round opens with: Lunes 11 de enero de 2027: la agenda y los recordatorios.
- The simulation can be run in English, Español.
- The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.
