About this simulation

The learner is a 38-year-old senior accounts-payable specialist at a fictional Zaragoza food manufacturer (EUR 34,000 base, twelve years in the company) whose finance department has just announced an AI programme for invoice capture and supplier queries, and who is worried about her job without wanting to panic.

Decision 1, January 2027: how to estimate what could happen (a headline figure, an occupation exposure ranking, or a task-by-task audit of her own week that separates the role changing from the job being lost), which signals to watch (rumours, five dated signals, or nothing) and who to talk to (nobody, Human Resources, or her manager about what the programme needs).

Decision 2, March: the pilot (stay out, volunteer to map exceptions and document the rules, or hoard the know-how and copy the supplier master file to a personal cloud), what to learn (nothing, a EUR 6,900 data-science master, or a 90-hour plan paid through the company training credit) and options outside (none, forty applications, or one warm option).

Decision 3, June, after the pilot processes 64 percent of invoices untouched and the team is planned to shrink from nine to six: how to update the estimate (keep it, update it with evidence, or panic), the new analyst role (wait, transfer anywhere, or apply with the pilot results) and the team (complain, share what she learned, or stay quiet).

Decision 4, October: stay, resign for an equally exposed outside job, or take the new role; what to negotiate (nothing, a package, or an ultimatum); and afterwards (close the subject, buy certificates, or a quarterly review).

A deterministic model turns diagnosis, complementary skills and visibility into the chances of the new role, of being among the cuts and of a quick search, and drives expected income to January 2029, the risk of dismissal, expected pay in January 2029, a calm index and the error between her own estimate and the model risk.

The score combines the quality of each decision with those outcomes and is capped when she copies company data to a personal cloud. Spanish (primary, Spain) and English.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.
