You are Nerea Ombuena, head of administration and finance at Alforjas Turia, a fictional maker of bicycle bags in Paterna (Valencia) and one of four companies in the classroom market, competing with three rival firms through 2027.

Round by round you sign two departmental plans: the price and the fabric purchasing plan in January, the production plan and the staff for the summer peak in April, a capacity investment and its financing in July, and in October the response to a rival price cut together with the quarter operations plan; at each decision point the year is projected again with the decisions taken so far.

Each round is scored on market share, net profit, ROE, the acid-test ratio, firm value and a coherence index that counts lost sales, surplus stock and idle capacity; covering the peak with overtime beyond the legal 80 hours a year, or paying suppliers beyond the 60-day legal limit, caps the score.
