About this simulation
A 90-minute, 4-round Express simulation in the learner's own chair on using a paid post-contractual non-compete (gardening leave) between two senior jobs, for lifelong-learning, career-transition and executive-education alumni programmes.
Macarena Barrionuevo (a fictional commercial director who has resigned from a fictional Sevilla food-packaging maker, Envases Trigueros, to join its fictional competitor Grupo Envalia) is paid for three months not to work for anyone in the sector and starts the new job on 3 January.
You decide how you start and what you do about the pact, what you prepare and what you do about your old team and clients, what you answer when the new boss asks for work before the pact ends and how you run your weeks, and how you arrive on day one and close with the company you left.
Scored on your readiness for the new job, your expected first-year pay less what the leave cost, your energy, your relationship with the former employer, your credibility with the new one and open risk; keeping the former employer's price file or advising the competitor before the pact ends caps the score. Spanish with English.
Who it is for
An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.
How a session runs
- The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
- Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results. The first round opens with: Lunes 4 de octubre de 2027: el primer lunes.
- The simulation can be run in English, Español.
- The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.
