About this simulation

A 90-minute, 4-round Express simulation in the learner's own chair on resigning well: what to say, to whom and in what order once you have signed an offer and nobody knows, for lifelong-learning, career-transition and executive-education alumni programmes.

Hector Sariego (a fictional head of the technical office at a fictional Asturian metal-fabrication firm, Caldereria Llaranes) has signed an offer from a fictional engineering firm, Bufones Offshore, in the middle of the year's largest project.

You decide who hears it first and what you check in your own contract before you speak, what you say to your boss and what you put in writing, what you answer to the counter-offer and what you do about the key client, and how you hand over and how you leave.

Scored on how clean your exit is, the chance the open project is delivered on time, the money of your exit, your peace of mind, your relationship with the company, your team's trust and open risk; inviting the client to follow you or copying the company's files caps the score. Spanish with English.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results. The first round opens with: Lunes 8 de febrero de 2027: antes de que lo sepa nadie.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.

Decisions participants make

  • A quién se lo dices primero
  • Qué revisas antes de hablar
  • Qué le dices a Ramón
  • Qué pones por escrito
