About this simulation

Factores humanos en el hangar (Hangar Human Factors). Spanish vocational training (FP), grado superior: module 1436 Factores humanos, common to the aeronautical maintenance titles of the Transporte y Mantenimiento de Vehiculos family (Reales Decretos of 14 December 2018).

Lucia Sorni, 21, a maintenance technician at the fictional Part-145 organisation Aerotecnica Monzalbo S.L., works a night shift on an aircraft due out at 06:30.

Four rounds, each an action and a recording, check or reporting choice: the shift handover and how task status is recorded; an interrupted task and how it is resumed; a missing torque wrench and early-morning fatigue; the sign-off under commercial pressure and the occurrence report.

Scored on safety margin, delay per phase, avoidable cost (rework, delays and damage) after what a good choice saves, and a safety-barriers index; debrief on the dirty dozen. Two hard-fails cap the round at 40: closing the panels with a tool unaccounted for and signing steps that were not done and checked. Training level only; decision practice that complements supervised practical training.

Spanish player-facing strings with English parity.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results. The first round opens with: Jueves 11 de marzo, 22:00: el relevo de turno.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.

Decisions participants make

The decisions participants make during the simulation:

  • Cómo recibes el relevo
  • Cómo queda anotado el estado de las tareas
  • Qué haces con la tarea que estás haciendo
  • Cómo la retomas al volver
  • Qué haces con la llave que falta
  • Qué haces con tu cansancio
  • Qué firmas y qué cuentas
  • Qué pasa con lo ocurrido esta noche
