Estratégica
The simulation that walks teams through the eleven stages of the strategic process — from the institutional diagnosis to the implementation plan with Balanced Scorecard and Gantt. Strategy isn't memorized: it's built.
Not analyzing the environment. Building the strategy, rigorously.
Estratégica guides a team through the full strategic cycle on a concrete institution. Eleven recognized tools — Porter, IFE/EFE, the IE matrix, SWOT, BSC and Gantt — chained into one coherent flow where each module feeds the next.
Real methodology
Built on the tools used in professional practice — Porter, IFE/EFE, the IE matrix, SWOT, BSC and Gantt — not toy abstractions.
Eleven integrated modules
Each module feeds the next: IFE and EFE set the IE position, and the SWOT is built on that diagnosis. No fragmented analysis.
Sequential learning
The guided flow makes teams understand the whole process before they decide at each step — analysis, then formulation, then execution.
Applied context
Teams work on a concrete institution — real or fictional — with internal and external variables that are actually connected.
For those who lead with vision
Wherever strategy is taught or practiced, Estratégica turns the theory of strategic management into a hands-on, traceable build.
Business schools
Strategy courses, MBA and organization-management programs.
Executive programs
Strategic-planning workshops and training for management teams.
Universities
Undergrad and postgrad in management, public administration and strategy.
Companies
Strategic simulations for consulting and corporate leadership teams.
The point of it all
Strategy isn't memorized — it's built with diagnosis, judgement and connected decisions. Estratégica exists to make that build visible, rigorous and repeatable.
From the institution to the strategic plan
Eleven modules across four movements take a team from diagnosis to execution. Each output becomes the next module's input — nothing is fragmented.
Institution
Define the institutional context, participants and competitors.
Porter
Analyze the five competitive forces of the environment.
IFE
Evaluate the key internal factors and their impact.
EFE
Evaluate external factors: opportunities and threats.
Benchmarking
Compare the competitive position against key rivals.
Mission & Vision
Formulate mission and vision; assess their strategic quality.
IE matrix
Position the organization on the Internal-External matrix.
SWOT
Cross strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Prioritization
Classify and weight the strategies generated in the SWOT.
BSC
Translate strategy into objectives, indicators and targets.
Gantt
Organize the initiatives into an implementation schedule.
The four movements: set up the institution, diagnose the environment, formulate strategy, and implement the plan — the complete strategic cycle in one platform.
The classics, working together
Estratégica connects Porter, IFE/EFE, the IE matrix and SWOT under one coherent logic so the analysis never fragments. Move the sliders to see the IE matrix in action.
Porter
The five forces that shape the competitive environment.
IFE / EFE
Weighted internal and external factor evaluations.
IE matrix (MIME)
Positions the organization from its IFE and EFE scores.
SWOT
Crosses SWOT into FO, DO, FA and DA strategies.
Benchmarking
Compares competitive position against rivals.
BSC · Gantt
Turns strategy into measurable goals and a schedule.
Hold & maintain · V
Market penetration and product development. Manage prudently and protect the position you have earned.
The IE (Internal-External) matrix places the organization in one of nine cells from its IFE and EFE weighted scores, grouped into three strategic prescriptions. In Estratégica these scores come from the team's own IFE and EFE work.
What participants take away
More than a finished plan, teams internalize the whole arc of strategic management — and the discipline of connecting analysis to decisions to execution.
Diagnose with rigor
Read the environment with Porter and weight internal and external factors with IFE and EFE.
Connect the tools
See how IFE and EFE drive the IE position, and how the SWOT builds on that diagnosis — one logic, not silos.
Formulate strategies
Generate FO, DO, FA and DA strategies from the SWOT and turn them into real options.
Prioritize with criteria
Classify and weight strategies to choose the most viable ones, instead of trying to do everything.
Translate to indicators
Convert strategy into measurable objectives and targets with the Balanced Scorecard.
Plan the execution
Land the plan in a Gantt chart with owners and timelines — closing the loop from analysis to action.
Methodological lineage: Michael Porter's competitive analysis, Fred David's strategic-management process (IFE/EFE/IE/SWOT), and Kaplan and Norton's Balanced Scorecard.
A plan you can hand in and act on
Every engagement ends with a report that gathers every completed module — and leaves a trail of evidence that makes class discussion and grading easy.
Diagnosis matrices
Porter, IFE, EFE and benchmarking.
IE position
The Internal-External matrix result.
Prioritized strategies
The SWOT strategies, ranked and weighted.
Balanced Scorecard
Objectives, indicators and targets.
Gantt plan
Initiatives, owners and timelines.
Final report
Every module gathered in one document.
SWOT → strategies
Crossing the four SWOT fields generates four families of strategy — the heart of formulation.
FO · Offensive
Use strengths to seize opportunities.
DO · Reorientation
Fix weaknesses to capture opportunities.
FA · Defensive
Use strengths to neutralize threats.
DA · Survival
Minimize weaknesses and avoid threats.
The thread of your whole course
Estratégica is often the backbone of a multi-week strategy course. The instructor sets objectives and teams, controls the pace, and watches every group's progress in real time.
Set up the session
Define objectives, scope and teams; each group sets its institution and competitive environment.
Monitor in real time
See each team's progress module by module and adjust the analysis pace to the course.
Collaborative teams
Teams advance at the instructor's pace or autonomously, working together on each module.
AI assistant & guide
Optional in-platform AI chat plus a built-in usage guide support every module.
Traceable by design
Every decision leaves evidence in matrices and indicators — which makes class discussion, feedback and grading concrete rather than impressionistic.
The plan is the beginning, not the grade
The closing conversation pressure-tests the strategy: is it coherent end to end, is it feasible, and would the team actually bet on it?
Does the chosen strategy actually match the IE-matrix position the diagnosis produced?
Are the prioritized strategies traceable back to specific strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats?
Do the Balanced Scorecard indicators truly measure whether the strategy is working?
Is the Gantt realistic — owners, dependencies, timelines — or a wish list?
Where is the weakest link in the chain from diagnosis to execution?
If resources were cut in half, which two strategies would you keep — and why?
The insight to land
A good strategy is a chain that holds from the first diagnosis to the last Gantt bar. Estratégica makes every link visible — so weak strategy isn't a matter of opinion, it's something you can point to and fix.
Estratégica at a glance
Everything you need to position, schedule and run the platform.
Pairs naturally with strategy, MBA and executive-education programs, and works as a capstone thread that connects an entire strategic-management course.
Answers to the most frequent questions
Estratégica covers the full strategic cycle in eleven integrated modules, from the institutional definition to the plan with Balanced Scorecard and Gantt. Each module feeds the next, so the analysis never fragments.
Each team works on its own institution, real or fictional. They set competitors, internal and external factors, and move through the modules at their own pace or following the course structure.
Yes. The instructor controls the session flow, sees each team's progress module by module, and adjusts the pace of the analysis to the needs of the course.
Between one and three work sessions, depending on how deep the analysis goes. It is commonly used as the thread running through a multi-week strategy course.
A report gathering every completed module: diagnosis matrices, IE position, prioritized strategies, Balanced Scorecard and Gantt plan. Estratégica is available in Spanish and English.
