Sobre la simulación

A 90-minute, 4-round basic Express simulation on a young licensed stylist's first year owning a four-chair salon suite: choosing booth rent or commission for the other chairs and keeping the line between a renter and an employee (26 CFR §31.3121(d)-1(c)), pricing the service menu from the cost of each service, protecting the appointment book from no-shows with a card on file, a stated cancellation policy and reminders, keeping licensed services in licensed hands with a shampoo-only assistant (O.C.G.A. §43-10-8(a), §43-10-17), disinfecting every tool after every client under the state sanitation rule (Ga.

Comp. R. & Regs. r. 130-5-.05), applying the no-show policy fairly, setting money aside for taxes and choosing how to grow in year two, for high-school and postsecondary Career and Technical Education in cosmetology and courses preparing the state cosmetology licensing exam.

Jalisa Merriweather, 20, the fictional licensed owner of the fictional Velvet Fern Salon Suites in Atlanta, Georgia, runs the salon through 2027 with her former instructor Delphine Strother on the phone.

Round by round you decide the business model for the other three chairs and the price menu, how to book against no-shows and who works the Saturday rush, how to disinfect and how to handle a week of no-shows, and how to manage the money and the second year; at each decision point the salon's typical week is projected again with the decisions taken so far.

Each round is scored on completed appointments, the owner's hours over a 50-hour week, the no-show rate, the weekly profit and client loyalty, with open violations shown alongside; running booth renters like employees or letting an unlicensed person do color caps the score. English with Spanish.
