Puesta en servicio de gas (Gas Commissioning). Spanish vocational training (FP), grado medio: module 0393 Montaje y mantenimiento de instalaciones de gas y combustibles liquidos of the Tecnico en Instalaciones de Produccion de Calor (Real Decreto 1792/2010).

The learner is Nerea Valbuena, an apprentice at a fictional installation firm, working with the firm's authorised gas installer on one January day in a fictional six-flat building.

Four rounds, four phases of one day: the tests before commissioning a refurbished flat (how the leak test is done and what is recorded for the installation certificate), purging and first ignition (a ventilated room with no sparks, and what the client is told about the shut-off valve and the emergency number), a neighbour's report of a smell of gas on the stairs (what is done first and whom to alert, from outside), and the leak found in the meter cupboard (how to repair and reopen, and what is put in writing).

Each round pairs an action with a communication or record choice and is scored on the day so far: safety margin, delay on the plan, impact on the residents in person-hours after what a good alert or record avoids, and residents' confidence. Operating anything electrical with a smell of gas and reopening after a leak without repeating the leak test cap the round.

Lesson: with a smell of gas, first shut off and ventilate; never operate anything electrical. Training-level decision practice with stylised values; no test pressures or operating procedures. Deterministic expected values; Spanish primary with full English parity.
