Sobre la simulación

A 90-minute, 4-round basic Express simulation on running the day dispatch desk of a regional delivery fleet through the peak week before Thanksgiving: loading trucks in route sequence within weight and cube, routing by the customers' delivery windows, checking the hours each driver has left and never sending a driver past the federal hours-of-service limits (49 CFR §395.3(a); §390.6), staggering shifts against driver fatigue, recovering a breakdown without giving an under-21 driver an interstate load (49 CFR §391.11(b)(1)), calling a customer before a delivery window closes, accepting only the surge work the hours can carry and closing the week with a driver debrief, for high-school Career and Technical Education in logistics, supply chain and transportation and courses on the way to logistics credentials such as the ASCM CLTD.

Imani Bostic, 19, the fictional day dispatcher of Kessane Regional Delivery, a 24-truck fleet working from a Memphis, Tennessee cross-dock into Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas, runs the desk from Monday 15 to Friday 19 November 2027 with operations manager Ray Fenwright.

Round by round you decide how to load the trucks and build the routes, how to cover a late pickup and set the week's shifts, how to recover a broken-down truck and handle a missed window, and how to answer a Saturday surge and close the week; at each decision point the whole week is projected again with the decisions taken so far.

Each round is scored on stops delivered right, long-day hours, the failed-delivery rate, the week's contribution and customer trust, with open violations shown alongside; sending a driver past the hours limits or an under-21 driver on an interstate load caps the score. English with Spanish.

Para quién es
