About this simulation

A 90-minute, 4-round Express simulation on managing a US retail-bank branch under federal regulation, for money-and-banking, financial-institutions management and business-law courses at Hispanic-Serving Institutions, personal-banker certificates and community-bank management-trainee programmes. Bilingual EN/ES.

Sonoran Ridge Community Bank (a fictional FDIC-supervised state bank in Arizona): as the new manager of its Maryvale branch in Phoenix, with about 180 million dollars of deposits, you run the branch through 2027.

You decide the bankers incentive plan and language access for Spanish-speaking customers, loan-pricing exceptions and the Community Reinvestment Act lending plan, how to handle a cash-structuring pattern and a depositor asking about FDIC insurance, and whether to close a satellite office and how to remediate accounts opened without consent.

Scored on branch contribution, compliance findings, the CRA index and households served.

Who it is for

An intermediate simulation for participants who already know the core concepts of the subject, designed for master's and MBA programmes.

How a session runs

  1. The instructor creates a session from the Eureka dashboard and invites the participants.
  2. Participants play 4 rounds. In each one they submit their decisions and the simulation calculates the results. The first round opens with: Monday 4 January 2027: the sales plan and the language of service.
  3. The simulation can be run in English, Español.
  4. The instructor follows each participant's progress and results from the dashboard, and uses the class results for the debrief.
